This is an event that was attended by more than 300 Scouts and their parents last year, After the Fun-Rally in the afternoon each troop will have a picnic lunch--the evening will be given over to .a monster campfire program in which advanced awards for advance- ment honors will be given. This will serve as the 2nd quarterly court of award for 1928, Every troop is asked to prepare for the time of their lives and 100% attendance. Outdoor Roundtable All Scoutmasters and assistant Scoutmasters of the North Shore Area council will again be the guests of the council at a "feed" and fellowship get- to-gether Monday evening, May 21, at the Cabin-in-the-Woods. ~ This is planned as the big session of the Spring and the committee is at work in extending the invitation so as to have as nearly 100% attendance as possible. No speaker is being ar- ranged for,--the entire evening will be given over to the exchange of opinion and the fellowship of talking over common problems. One of them is that last Saturday they had the youngest scout in the world. No boy can be a scout until he is 12 years of age. Scout- master Stanton learned that John Woods was born at exactly 6 p. m. on April 14, 1916. Some weeks ago John began working on his Tenderfoot tests and was prepared to pass them satis- factorily before his birthday. Lawrence J. Hayes North Shore Man Coaches Soccer at State University Spring soccer practice started this week at the University of Illinois with fifty men reporting to Coach A. Price for the initial drill period. Coach Price will have charge of the men, assisted by John McFadzean of Winnetka, a last year's varsity letter man. The purpose of the spring practice is to get a line on new men, teach fundamentals, and give the regulars additional practice. Soccer was introduced into the Big Ten last fall. A few months ago the University of Illinois made soccer a major sport, this being the first school in the Middle-West to put soccer on a par with football, basketball, base- ball and track. Last fall the Illini team played two conference games, one with Ohio and the other with Iowa. The North Shore alumnae of Gamma Phi Beta sorority met for luncheon last Monday with Mrs. C. W.
