A children's theater course has been added to the curriculum of the School of . Speech, Northwestern university, for the six weeks' summer term, June 25 to August 4, to be taught by Miss Winifred Ward, organizer of the Ev- anston's Children's theater and its director, and Dean Farnsworth, its production manager. It. will be offered as a practical laboratory course in organizing, managing and directing a children's theater, and in staging plays. The problems will be worked out by the actual production of a three-act play, in which the students will cover every phase of the directing, acting, produc- tion' and management. The play will be A. A. Milne's "Make-Believe." Students in the School of Speech will play the adult parts, and children in the summer classes in dramatics will play the chil- dren's parts. It will be produced for the public late in July. Another course for junior dramatic directors is "Creative Dramatics for Children."
