The car which hit it was owned by Hulda Iverson and driven by Mrs. D. C. Korsgren, of 384 Provident avenue, Winnetka. Mrs. Burr sustained a fracture of the left collar bone and was cut on the left wrist. Mr. Burr suffered what it was feared were internal injuries and Sarah Burr was cut on the fore- head and left ankle. The injured were taken to the office of Dr. Jay M. Garner, 545 Lincoln avenue, ac- cording to the report of Officers Frank Rayburn and Charles M. Bemus. Mr. and Mrs. Harry Lay, 1408 Edge- wood lane, had as their guest over the week-end, Miss Marguerite Ray of Chicago. Sunday evening Miss Janet and Miss Catherine Lay gave a sup- per party in Miss Ray's honor on the Glencoe beach. --p Mrs. I. E. Warner, who has been working in the office at New Trier High school during the last year, has left for a month's trip to California, the Pacific Northwest, and Canada. She will return to New Trier in the fall. yi Mr. and Mrs. Robert Noble Golding of 1095 Pine street announce the birth of a son, John Gardner, on July 24, at the Evanston hospital. --0-- William Reed of Arkansas is visiting Mr. and Mrs. Albert S. Gardner in their home at 745 Ash street for ten days. Phones Winnetka 1869--1870 -1871--1872 Prominent Racers to Be Entered in Outboard Regatta Chicago will have its. first outboard regatta on the Edgewater Beach hotel mile and a half course on Saturday afternoon at 3:30 o'clock. All of the prominent outboard racers of this sec- tion will participate in the events which will be held under the auspices of the North Shore Outboard Motor club of Evanston. Many handsome trophies have been donated by the Edgewater Beach hotel for the class B, C, free-for-all, and displacement. Among the entrants are: Mary Al- cott Richardson, 15-year-old school girl, recent winner of the Milwaukee- Chicago outboard marathon race; Howard E. Richardson, winner in class C at the national regatta at St. Louis on July 4; Malcolm Pope, Florida champion, and holder of a new world's record made at Osh- kosh, Wis.,, on July 15; champion of Indiana famous boat, "Good Booze"; Frank- lin Cook of Evanston, winner of B class Milwaukee-Chicago race on June 2; Charles MacDonald, former 151 class racer driving "Skippy"; Jack Bersonette in "Oh Henry"; Chuck Davis, driver of Frank Hough's "Stetson Girl"; and Walter Peacock, Jr., of Wilmette, in "Hurry Up." National officials of the American Outboard Motor association will offi- ciate at the races. Dick Pope, na- tional vice-commodore, will handle the starting flag. Captain Anderson of the United States Coast Guard, sta- tioned at the mouth of the Chicago river, will have coast guard boats patroling the course.
