Wuichet to publishing firm of Frank E. Compton company. The land included in the sale is 110 feet on Washington ave- nue with a depth on Greenwood ave- nue of 182 feet. The residence, which was built several years ago, is of brick and slate construction containing eleven rooms with three bathrooms and an attached two car garage. The purchaser has been a resident of Glen- coe for some years, owning a home at 241 Fairview road, which he will vacate on or about October 1st upon taking possession of the newly acquired home. The location on Washington and Greenwood avenues is within a block of the club house of the Skokie Country club. Another sale in the Skokie club dis- trict was the sale by H. E. Hoover to Alfred R. Watt of 100 feet of vacant property immediately adjoining the 18th fairway of the club. The pur- chase was made by Mr. Watt with the idea of erecting a fine residence. The sale of Lot 56 Skokie Heights by Stanley P. Farwell to D. W. Lewis was made recently on which Mr. Lewis has started to erect a brick residence that will cost about $35,000. This lot fronts on Eastwood road. Directly across the street from this lot on East- wood road Thomas I. Simpson sold a new brick English type residence with slate roof, containing eight rooms, three baths and attached garage. The purchaser was William Otter, of Wil- mette, vice-president of Marsh and McLennan. On Lot 21 Skokie Heights, facing west on Bluff road, Elwood G. Glass Christian Science "Mind" was the subject of the Les- son-Sermon in all Churches of Christ, Scientist, Sunday, Aug. 19. The Golden Text was from Pro- verbs 2:6, "The Lord giveth wisdom: out of his mouth cometh knowledge and understanding." Among the citations which com- prised the Lesson-Sermon was the fol- lowing from the Bible: "Finally, be ye »1l of one mind, having compassion one »f another, love as brethren, be pitis..l, be courteous" (I Peter 3:8). The Lesson-Sermon also included the following passages from the Chris- tian Science textbook, "Science and Health with Key to the Scriptures," by Mary Baker Eddy: "When we re- alize that there is one Mind, the di- vine law of loving our neighbors as ourselves is unfolded; whereas a belief in many ruling minds hinders man's normal drift towards the one Mind, one God, and leads human thought into opposite channels where selfish- ness reigns" (p. 205). Guy S. Osborn, Jr. formerly of Kenilworth, is making a three weeks' motor trip to Canada. He will spend part of his time at Duke Child's camp near Duluth, Minn. is completing a fine brick residence of French design, which he will oc- cupy shortly. The sale by Samson I.
