An exceptionally good 1926 Hudson Brougham Ford Coupe Ford Sedan Information for Motor Tourists Road conditions for Illinois and nearby states are reported by the Chi- cago Motor club as follows: -- ILLINOIS Federal markers are now being erected on all state highways entering Chicago. Chicago to Waterloo, Towa -- This route is all paved except for a few short stretches of gravel, including a good gravel detour west of Dubuque. Rand road is closed between the See- ger road and Mt. Prospect road. Traf- fic is directed west on Seeger road to Northwest highway, then northwest to Mt. Prospect road and north to Rand road. Illinois-6--The detour from Pusheck road to the Mannheim road has been removed. Illinois-7--The gravel detour be- tween Spring Valley and Princeton is reported in good condition. It is 12 miles long. Illinois-10--The detour east of Jack- sonville has been eliminated by the construction of a temporary bridge over the railroad north of the old bridge. Illinois-18--Detour in Naperville; fol- low marked detour over city streets. Illinois-42--Detour in Lake Forest; follow marked detour over city streets. Illinois-121 -- Pavement has been completed on this route between Lin- coln and Mt. Pulaski and will be open in about 10 days. Illinois-165--Paving is complete on this route which extends from Bloom- ington to Sibley on Illlinois-47 except for an 8-mile stretch east and west of Colfax, and a short but rough detour around bridge construction. The de- tour "around the bridge will be re- moved in a few weeks, leaving a wind- ing and rough detour around the 8-mile gap in the pavement, WISCONSIN Madison to LaCrosse--Via US-12 and US-16--Reported in good condition and all open. Oshkosh to Neenah--County trunk "A" the new paved lake shore road is now open from Oshkosh to Neenah. Should reconstruction remains in pro- gress and motorists using same should drive carefully. Wisconsin-14--Now open east of Argyle in LaFayette county. Wisconsin-27--A detour has been added just south of Cashton. Wisconsin-29--Paving between Cad- ott and Stanley is finished and the con- struction crew is now working on an overhead bridge for two railroad crossings between Boyd and Cadott.
