Miss Jane Olson, school librarian, will talk on Christmas books for children and will have some of these books on display. Tea will be served. Mrs. Glen Bull is room chair- man. Mrs. Scheiner has donated a fernery to Mrs. Sutherland's room. The third grade pupils of Miss Smith made a trip to the Art institute, where they visited the Dutch room. The collection in this room was donated by the grandmother of Alice Blair. The children in Miss Eggert's fourth grade spent last Friday from 6 to 7 p. m., at the beach, where Miss Eggert and Miss Pressler located various plan- ets and constellations for them. Par- ents of the children took them to the beach. Miss Dawson and the mothers of her room will meet December 7 to get acquainted and talk over school work. The Thanksgiving donations were handled by Miss Krenwinkel"s room. A plea was made in assembly by Chandler Young and Jean Crilly. A list of suggestions was given, and canned goods of all kinds were brought. The children helped to clas- sify and pack them Wednesday. A Thanksgiving party was held in Mrs. Reddick's kindergarten this week. Puritan hats and collars were made, and apple sauce was served. Mrs. Lawrence Cole took charge of Miss Dwyer's room while Miss Dwyer attended the educational counsel meet- ing. GREELEY SCHOOL The Red Cross drive will be con- tinued beyond Thanksgiving in order to give each child ample time to be- come a member. Each room is striv- ing for a hundred percent member- ship. Any amount the child con- tributes, constitutes a membership. Mothers of Miss Nechak's sixth grade pupils will hold a meeting in their own room at Greeley immediate- ly after school Wednesday afternoon, December 5. The children will par- ticipate in the program. "Costumes" will be discussed and planned by the mothers, Miss Haye's room mothers held a meeting at the school on November 26.
