For Sale at Your Drug Store Inter-Troop Scout Contest Won by Kenilworth Boys The Kenilworth Boy Scouts, troop No. 13, undefeated by any north shore Scouts' group in the last seven years, won more laurels last Friday night, December 14, when they took first place in the annual north shore inter-troop Scouting contest held at the Kenilworth Union gymnasium. The Kenilworth Scouts had twenty- eight points to their credit. Evanston troop No. 7. was second with thirteen. Evanston troop No. 3 finished third with ten points, and Evanston troop No. 5 fourth with three. Points were awarded on the basis of proficiency in drilling, knot tying, semaphore and Morse code signaling, fire by flint and steel, and fire by fiction. With the exception of fire by fric- tion, in which troop No. 7 of Evanston had the most points, Kenilworth ex- celled in every event, winning the con- test decisively in spite of the fact that twenty-nine out of fifty-eight boys were absent on account of illness or for other reasons. One hundred eighteen north shore Boy Scouts, principally from Kenil- worth and Evanston, were entered in the various events of the contest. Walter McPeek, north shore area Scout executive, was head judge. He was assisted by Robert J. Hildebrandt, Jack Banks, Jeffrey Poole, George Stocking, and Bailey Barnes. W. Chess- man was timekeeper. Mr. and Mrs. Post and Jeannette Post of Abbottsford road, Kenilworth left today for Lincoln, Neb. where they will spend the Christmas holidays. ---- Miss Marjorie Oleson, 240 Wood- stock avenue, Kenilworth returned home from Ward Belmont school, Nashville, Tenn. last Wednesday.
