VICTORIA CO. HONOUR ROLL IN PREPARATION

Must be Completed Now to be Effective - Bring Names of Service Personnel to Library.
  The thousands of men and women from this county who served in this war in Europe and sacrificed themselves so that we might see its successful conclusion and enjoy a just peace deserve to be remembered. The part played by the sons and daughters of Victoria County will go down in history if the Service File that has been started at the Lindsay Public Library is completed now. To-day is the time to see that the ones you know are not left out. Every one [sic] is welcome to come this week to the Library and examine this record. Bring the names of your soldier, airman or sailor friends and check this file for their record. It is possible that no information has been obtained about them. Be prepared to give the date of entry and the training centres along with the date sent overseas and any other interesting information concerning their military record. Wherever possible a snapshot should be provided to add to the value of this record to friends who may examine it later. But it is being stressed by the librarians that the record without the snapshot is in order and they will be glad [to add] the snapshot if is available at a later date.
  Let this be your first consideration for your servicemen in the days after VE Day, make their records complete in the DISTRICT SERVICE FILE.
