Say Lindsay Man Is Wounded Again

Lindsay, Nov. 22 (Special)—Mrs. Thelma Bennett, of Glenelg St. W., Lindsay, has received word that her husband, Sgt. Harold S. Bennett, has been wounded for the second time in service overseas.

Sgt. Bennett was educated in Bowmanville Public School and High School, enlisting in December, 1939, at Bowmanville. He received his training in Lindsay, Picton and Camp Borden, and went overseas with the Stormont Dundas and Glengarry Highlanders. He returned to Canada in, April, 1942 to take up instructional duties with the King's Own Rifles of Canada in Moose jaw, Sask., and Terrace, B.C.

Sgt. Bennett returned to England in 1943 with the Irish Regiment of Canada and became an instructor until the early part of March when he joined his regiment in Italy. He received "bomb concussion" in June and had just returned to the lines when he was wounded in action. He is a son of Mrs. E. Bennett, of Oshawa.
