June 13, 1943   Lindsay people will be interested in knowing that Flt.-Lt. W. S. W. Breese, former L.C.I. teacher, has arrived safely overseas with the latest contingent from Canada. The men in uniform were in high spirits as they landed after an uneventful crossing. This is the fifth trip for Mr. Breese as one of the conducting staff.
January 10, 1946 W.S.W. BREESE IS PRINCIPAL AT BROCKVILLE
Sqd. Leader W. S. W. Breese, of the Lindsay Collegiate Staff, who has been associated with important positions in the armed service for several years, has received the appointment of Principal of the new Government-established Training and Rehabilitation Institute at Brockville.
The new Institute, or School, which is being established on the premises formerly occupied by the Officers Training School, will accommodate 400 students. Instead of establishing an Institute where the students board out, it has been decided to lodge the students in the school. It has been found impossible to secure accommodation in Brockville, or other cities, for such a large body of students.
Sqd. Leader Breese has had experience in such schools, having been stationed at Stanstead College for some time in his earlier educational career.
Mrs. Breese and son will move to Brockville to take up residence in an Apartment at the Institute during the present month.- Media Type

- This card is part of a larger collection of World War II personnel clippings. The project began in 1944 at the Lindsay Library. The intent was to gather together as much information as possible on the military record and the service of people from the Town of Lindsay and the County of Victoria (now Kawartha Lakes) who served in the war. To that end, during the years 1944, 1945, and 1946, members of the public donated photographs and updated information about their loved ones. Both library staff and the public saved and donated newspaper clippings. Some of the files contain great amounts of detail, while others have just a name.
