- Walter W. Brown whose home is on Lindsay Street, Fenelon Falls, Ontario, enlisted in the Canadian Army on November 17, 1942. He entered the Royal Canadian Ordnance Corps with the rank of Private.
Pte Brown trained at Brampton, Ont., Valcartier, Que., Hamilton, Ont., and Kingston, Ont.
He was sent overseas on October 17, 1943. In England he had further training at Aldershot Camp, Brighton and Stoke-on-Kent.
He transferred while in the service to the R.C.E.M.E. where he held the rank Cfn (Craftsman).
Cfn Brown arrived home on July 30, 1945 and was given his discharge on January 30, 1946.
W. Brown is welcomed back to this district where he was employed before the army service. - Date of Publication
