Sigmn. G.A. Eason is the son of Mr. and Mrs. Eason, Norland, Ontario. Gordon received his education in White School (Public School), near Kinmount Ontario, and also 5 years of High School at the same locality. He enlisted in the Canadian Active Army in February 1941 in Peterboro, Ontario. He was stationed there for a short period and then was transferred to Cornwall, Ontario. From here he was posted to Kingston, and thence overseas in August 1942. He was stationed somewhere in England for a short period and then was transferred to Sicily, then to Italy where he was taken ill and was flown to Sicily, from there to North Africa. On his recovery he was returned to Italy where he returned to action.
