Son of Lindsay citizen named in despatches
Mr. William Fayle, Durham St. Lindsay, was greatly interested in reading the reports of the recent successful air raids over Turin. One of the bombing crew on the RCAF attack was his son J.S. Fayle. This young soldier enlisted in Port Hope and last visited his father in Lindsay on Christmas Day, December 25th 1941. Fayle’s name was among those mentioned in despatches.
