This was his second flight over enemy territory. The entire crew, six of them Canadians, are still missing. According to the crew of another bomber in the Leaside Squadron, F.O. Fisher's plane had bombed the target and was on the way back when it was out of formation it was a dark night, and the fate of the men could not be ascertained. Born in Lindsay, F.O. Fisher attended General Mercer Public School and Parkdale Collegiate. He was taking an honour course in languages at Victoria College when he enlisted in March 1943. F.O. Fisher trained at Lachine, Victoriaville and Ancienne Lorette, Que., where he received his wings and commission. He went overseas in February of this year. F.O. Fisher played hockey for a U. of T. team. A brother, Bandsman John Fisher, RCNVR, is at Halifax.
