Pte. Laverne Gamble Prisoner in Germany Word was received here by Mrs. Laverne Gamble, Queen St., to the effect that her husband, Pte. Laverne Gamble, who has been missing since Sept. 6th, 1944, is now officially reported to be & prisoner of war in Stalag, Germany.
Pte. Gamble went overseas and saw service with the 48th Highlanders of Toronto.
Previous to enlisting Laverne Gamble was a member of the staff of the Boxall & Matthie Hardware store, Lindsay. He is a son of Mr. and Mrs. Arthur Gamble, Cambridge St. S., and his wife was formerly Miss Madeline Cotey.
