Pte. R.L. Gamble,
Prisoner of War,
Now in EnglandMrs. R. L. Gamble; Queen St. received word a few days ago that her soldier husband, Pte. R. L. Gamble, who was taken a prisoner of war by the Germans on Sept. 6th last, has been liberated and is now safe in England.
Pte. Gamble, who enlisted in Lindsay, received his basic training at Three Rivers, Peterborough and Camp Borden. He was reported as wounded on Aug. 28th.
The young soldier was serving with the 48th Highlanders in Italy when taker', a prisoner of war. He was formerly employed with the firm of Boxall and Matthie,
