William Arthur Green, son of Mr. and Mrs. Joseph Green, 14 Division Street, Lindsay, enlisted for service with the Royal Canadian Air Force in May 1940.
A builder prior to enlisting he was residing in Vancouver, B.C.
He received his training at Calgary (Alta), Dartmouth (N.S.), Toronto (Ont.), and Trenton (Ont.).
Bill Green was promoted in the service to Flt/Sergeant. Flt. Sgt. Green was sent to Newfoundland in 1943. He returned from this service in the spring of 1944. Flt/Sgt. W.A. Green was still serving with the RCAF in Canada as of February 1946.
