Only five still away from home Haliburton, PNS — Of approximately 100 Haliburtonians who saw service Overseas with the armed forces the three who arrived home this week bring the number that remain in England, France, Belgium, Holland or Germany down to five.
The latest three to be welcomed home are Pte. Russell, Pte. Neal Woodcock, son of Mr. and Mrs. Cecil Woodcock, Haliburton, and Floyd Watt, son of Mr. and Mrs. William Watt, Haliburton.
Haliburton has an imposing war record. Five gave their lives in the cause and two, since released, were P.O.W.s.
