Lindsay boy seriously injured overseas Lce. Bdr. Hancock had gone through campaigns in North Africa and Italy without a scratch The sad intelligence reached Mr. P.W. Hancock, 98 Elgin St., today, that his son, L-Bdr. Kenneth E. Hancock has been seriously injured in Italy.
Overseas since April 1941, Kenneth had gone through campaigns in North Africa and Sicily without a scratch.
He enlisted in November 1940. Had been a resident in town for about six years, coming here from Cochrane. In a letter to his father, he stated that on a recent leave he had visited Mt. Vesusvius and Naples.
His only brother, Lieut. R.M. Hancock is also overseas.
