Mrs. Mervin Harrison, of Lindsay, (formerly Miss Marie Hildenbrand), has received the sad news that her husband, Pte. Mervin Harrison, was killed in action in Holland on Nov. 1st. The sad part of the story is, according to Mrs. Harrison, that her husband was wounded on July 26th and in his last letter home stated that he was returning to the war zone, although his leg was still stiff and sore. The letter was written on October 25th.Lindsay boy left hospital then killed
Pte. Harrison is the son of Mr. Norman Harrison, of Maple Lake (Haliburton County). He enlisted in Lindsay, having been previously employed at the Arsenal. His training was received at Peterboro, Cornwall and Camp Borden. The young soldier leaves to mourn his loss his wife and one daughter.
