Pte. Hartwick is wounded

Mr. and Mrs. Russell Hartwick, 76 Colborne St. W., were advised today that their son, Pte. Earl Hartwick has been wounded in fighting on the Italian front.

In conversation with the Post, Mrs. Hartwick said that no definite details accompanied the original message, which was delivered to Earl’s wife, who resides at Ottawa.

He is 23 years old and has been in the army four years. He enlisted with the Midland Regiment in Lindsay when it was first being brought up to strength. Going overseas about a year ago, he has seen action in Italy during the past nine months.

Another brother, Wilbert, has been in the army about three years and is now serving in France. He was 16 years old when he enlisted.
