While night flying near Fingal, the plane of which he was a pilot, crashed and Sergt.-Pilot Edwin Donald Hawkins, 19, was killed, his parents, Mr. and Mrs. Edwin Hawkins, formerly of Milverton Blvd., but now of Lindsay, have been informed. Born in Toronto, he attended Earl Beatty school and Riverdale collegiate before enlisting in February, 1943. Surviving are his parents, a brother, P.O. Tom Hawkins, flying instructor at St. Eugene, and a sister, Mrs. John Wenzel, McRae Drive.
