- Allan J. Hill of Oakwood was a machinist before his enlistment 3 March 1942 as a Craftsman in the RCEME. He trained at Cornwall, Barriefield, Windsor, and Hamilton. He was sent overseas 27 July 1943, where he served as an armourer. Allan returned home 1 January 1946 and received his discharge in February of 1946.
