Bombs 3 Subs in St. Lawrence R.Many local residents will read again an interesting article in last night’s “Star” and look again at the pictures when they know that one of the 4 young men, viz. Flying Officer J.H. Houzer, the 22-year-old navigator on the RCAF plane that bombed 3 submarines in the St. Lawrence a few months ago, is a son of Mrs. Wilfred Houzer, formerly Helen Kirkconnell, a resident of Lindsay for over 25 years when her father, Dr. Kirkconnell was principal of the LCI.
Mr. and Mrs. Houzer and family reside in Hamilton where Mr. Houzer is principal of a technical school.
Another son, Walter, is a Lieut. in the R.C.C.S. and just recently arrived in England. Another picture shows the young officer with two sisters, Bertha, his twin, and Mary.
