Gooderham Soldier is home again
Gooderham, Jan. 24th (PNS) – Friends of Sigmn. George Hunter, R.C.C.S., is among the most recent arrivals of local boys returning from service overseas to their homes in Canada.
Sgmn. Hunter enlisted at the beginning of the war and was recently injured while serving on active duty overseas.
Friends are pleased to learn that he is now making a satisfactory recovery at his home here.
He is the son of Mr. and Mrs. L.H. Hunter, Gooderham.
Cpl.C. Shier Missing Up until the time of writing, no further official word concerning Cpl. Crawford Shier, who was recently reported missing in action, has been received.
Local Boy EnlistsThe most recent local boy to offer his services in the cause of his country is Mr. Kenneth McDuff, son of Mr. and Mrs. David McDuff, Gooderham.
