Lindsay boy now a prisoner Spr. Lloyd Hussey
Lakeview and LindsayPrisoner of War Sapper Lloyd William Hussey, Lindsay, previously reported missing at Dieppe, is a prisoner of war, his wife, Mrs. Lloyd Hussey, has been advised. He went overseas with the Royal Canadian Engineers. Lloyd, who is a son of Mr. W.J. Hussey, Colborne Street, has been in the service for some time. He is well remembered in Lindsay, especially in sporting circles.

- B 25180 Lloyd Wm. Hussey enlisted in Toronto 22 February 1940 with 2nd Field Co. Royal Can. Engineers. Married in April of 1940 to Olive Gould of Kirkland Lake. He left Toronto for overseas on 10 May 1940 and arrived in England 22 May 1940. He was taken German prisoner following Battle of Dieppe on 19 August 1942. Declared prisoner of war on 26 September 1942 at No. 26441 Stalag 8B (later changed to Stalag 344).
