Corp. Lloyd Hussey, who enlisted at Kirkland Lake, also married a young lady from that city. For some time they resided at Long Branch, Toronto, from where he enlisted with the Royal Canadian Engineers. For a time Lloyd, who is a son of Mr. W.J. Hussey, grocer, Colborne St., was a member of the Toronto police force. He was particularly well known here and in the north as an athlete. Mrs. Lloyd Hussey is at present in Lindsay. Another brother, Carl, is also in the service.

- B 25180 Lloyd Wm. Hussey enlisted in Toronto 22 February 1940 with 2nd Field Co. Royal Can. Engineers. Married in April of 1940 to Olive Gould of Kirkland Lake. He left Toronto for overseas on 10 May 1940 and arrived in England 22 May 1940. He was taken German prisoner following Battle of Dieppe on 19 August 1942. Declared prisoner of war on 26 September 1942 at No. 26441 Stalag 8B (later changed to Stalag 344).
