Two Oakwood brothers meet in Netherlands
Oakwood, May 2 (PNS) – Cfn. Ross Irwin, who has been in Italy since Nov. 13 1943, was transferred to Holland with the 1st Canadian Corps recently. While on leave to Brussels, he was able to spend a day with his brother, Cfn. Lorne Irwin, who is attached to the RCEME.
It is of interest to note that although the brothers went overseas together in August 1943, they have not seen each other for nineteen months. Needless to say, it was a very joyful reunion.
They are the sons of Mr. and Mrs. Jas. Irwin, of Oakwood.
