- R 119369 Cpl. Jones, I.H. enlisted in the Royal Canadian Air Force 28 July 1941. He received his initial training at Toronto. At Brockville, Ont., he received training as a Postal Clerk. On 11 October 1942 he was sent overseas. He was first stationed at Bournemonth Air Field Post Office but after six months in this service he was sent on to Italy and later Egypt. After one month’s service in Egypt Cpl. Jones was moved on down through the Red Sea route stopping at Aden for three days en route to India where he continued to serve. Cpl. Jones was attached to Squadron 436, RCAF, South East Asia Air Force, Bombay, India.
