Kinmount, July 20, (PNS) – Kinmount has 30 of its finest young men overseas and 33 in Canada. The list overseas is as follows: -- Jack Magrath; Ronald Barkwell; Bert Austin; Dick Austin; Andy McCluney; Norman Gilmore; Norman Silver; Percy Wellstood; Dick Roach; Howard Roach; Tom Collins; Jim Allan; Leslie Stanhope; Harry Geeza; Dan Brown; Allan Byrne; Bob Davis; Jim Wright; Fred Bacon; Roy Spence; Donald Lee; Garnet Brown; Arnold Scrotter; Ralph Scrotter; Jack Flarety and Mr. Webb.

Those in the service in Canada are: Ray Bacon; Moss Barr; Jim DeFiney; Orval Barkwell; Dave Curtin; Jack Train; Howard Silver; Joe McNamara; Bill Austin; Bill McDonald; Bill Gillaland; Albert Allan; Bud Collins; Aubrey Allan; Jack Wellstood; Douglas Mintz; Cecil Lee; Bob White; Everett Brandon; Garney Belfrey; Harry Scrotter; Carl Scrotter; Joe Hickey; Charlie Hughes; Keith Geeza; Garney Hughes; George Hartin; Billie Stata; Mike Cummings; Cavin Cumming who is a sailor and has been overseas and back 14 trips. Kinmount also has 4 girls in the services namely nursing sister Mildred Wilson; Nursing Sister Lenora Harding. In the Air Force, Myrtle Hughes and Helen Graham who is in the Army. The people of Kinmount and district are very proud of these Young Men and Women who are out to fight for King and Country.
