Military funeral accorded to the late Pte. T. Kinnear

Full military honours were accorded to Pte. Thomas Kinnear, beloved son of the late Mr. and Mrs. Jonathon Kinnear of Lindsay member of the Veterans Guard and a veteran of the First Great War, who died in Rideau Military Hospital, Ottawa, June 24th. At his funeral, June 26th, Major G. Armstrong officiated.


The escort, the firing party and pall bearers were all of No. 4 Company, Veterans Guard, the Pipe Band and drummers were from No. 3 District Depot.


Survivors include four brothers, Edgar of Emo, Ont., James of Toronto, Jack of Edmonton, and Wilbert of Windsor; also five sisters, Mrs. Geo. Winchester, Hamilton, Mrs. Frank Eastman, Keswick, Mrs. J.P. Bagshaw, Oshawa, Mrs. E. Hill and Mrs. E.T. Johnson, Lindsay.


Among the many floral tributes received were those from Lansdowne Park, N.G.C., No. 4 Active Co. Veterans Guard: officers and men of No. 32 Co. Rebekah Lodge No. 3 Oshawa, Fellow Comrades of No. 3 Platoon, Mr. and Mrs. J.P. Bagshaw, Oshawa; also sisters Mae, Blanche, Mary and Anne.


Interment Veterans Plot, Beachwood Cemetary, Ottawa.
