Jack Lamb of Lindsay Ontario enlisted in the RCAF on 1 March 1941. From that date until 14 July 1941 he trained as an aero-engine mechanic at the Galt Aircraft School.
On 14 Junly 1941 he was transferred to the Repair Depot, Winnipeg, Man. where he remained in service until 15 April 1943.
On 15 April 1943, he was posted to the AID School in Toronto where he remained until 27 June 1943.
On 27 June he was posted to #11 A1 District, Montreal, Quebec and he is still with the Aircraft Inspector Directorate (AID) there – June 1945.
On 15 May 1945 Jack Lamb was promoted to Flt. Sergeant.
