PO C. Lane reported missing from operation
Word has been received by Mr. and Mrs. C.H. Lane, 45 Badgerow Ave, Toronto, formerly of Valentia, that their son, P|O Charles H. Lane is missing overseas, taking part in action over enemy territory on the night of Sept. 19th.
Enlisting with RCAF in Toronto, July 1941, he graduated as wireless air gunner, taking his course and training at Guelph, Jarvis, Pennfield Ridge, N.B., Yarmouth, N.S. He arrived overseas late in December 1942, since which time he has been on active service and has a good number of operational flights to his credit.
His many friends around Lindsay and district wish him every success in returning to his base.
