Edward Liscomb whose home is at 77 Lindsay Street North in Lindsay, enlisted for service with the Canadian Army in August 1940.
A veteran of WWI when he served overseas in France, Edward Liscomb joined the Veterans’ Guard of Canada. He had the rank of Private. Pte. Liscomb was stationed at Lindsay Arsenal, Kingston, Ont., Port Arthur, Ont., Windsor, Ont., and Monteith.
For his service in WWII, Pte. Liscomb earned for himself the C.V.S.M. Victory Medal and Service medal. He was discharged from the Veterans’ Guard in November 1945. One month later Edward Liscomb had his leg amputated 24 December 1945.
