Pte. Charles Murray, who before his enlistment on 21 December 1940, with the 1st Batt. Midland Regt. was a salesman, resides at 89 Wellington St., Lindsay. He trained at Cobourg, and his various moved in Canada include Ottawa, St. John (NB), Niagara, Edmonton and Prince Rupert (BC). Pte. Murray received basic training, together with training in stretcher bearing and first aid. He served 4 years in the last war, and 3.5 years of it were spent overseas. He was discharged on 27 July 1943.
