Pte. J.I. Quinn enlisted with the RCAF in Toronto on 20 December 1943. He was called in to don the uniform on 10 May 1944. He was stationed at Exhibition Park Camp and later moved to St. Thomas, Ont. In December he was given an honourable discharge from the Air Force.
J.I. Quinn again offered his services to his country in January 1945. On 18 January 1945 he enlisted in the army. He was stationed in Toronto until 14 February 1945 when he was sent to Newmarket Ontario. Later, 13 April 1945, to Camp Borden where he is at present (May 1945) stationed. Pte. Quinn is attached to 8 Coy A 10, C.T.I.C. He is the son of Mr. and Mrs. Wm. Quinn, Coboconk, RR1.
