Major E.G. Scott enlisted on 1 September 1939 (having previously worked as a letter carrier for the Canada Post Office) in the Royal Canadian Artillery as a Lieutenant and trained at Petawawa, Tracadie (NB) and Sussex (NB). He proceeded overseas on 11 November 1941 and saw enemy action in Great Britain, France, Belgium, Holland, and Germany. While overseas he trained at Camp Horden, Aldershot, Sennybridge, Wales, and Inversary, Scotland. He was transferred from the 45th Fd. Bty. 7 Cfn. Army Fd. Regt. – 14 Cdn. Fd. Regt – 3 Cdn A/Tk Regt. He was mentioned in despatches. He arrived home 3 July 1945 and was discharged 11 August 1945. - Date of Publication
