- Trooper George Stokes of Little Britain, enlisted 13 August 1942, with the RCAC. He trained at Peterborough, Camp Borden, and Hamilton TS. He trained as a Tank driver and motor mechanic and was sent overs on 14 October 1944, where he saw enemy action in Holland and Germany. He transferred from the RCAC to the British Columbia Regt 28, CAR. Trooper Stokes returned to Canada on 17 January 1946.
