Flt. Lt. Perry Teatro of Lindsay enlisted in the RCAF on 21 August 1940. After training in Canada he was posted overseas and arrived in England 1 July 1941. He completed twenty-one operational trips over Germany.
On 28 May 1942, Flt. Lt. Teatro arrived home in Lindsay. He was posted as an instructor in wireless at Guelph. He re-mustered and got the pilot’s wings on 9 December 1943. He served as pilot and instructor at Jarvis, Ontario until his release from the RCAF on 29 March 1945.
