- Thorald Williams of 36 Glenelg Street W. Lindsay enlisted in the Canadian Army on 13 July 1944. He entered the Hastings and Prince Edward Regiment of the army with the rank of Pte. (C 124774). He received his training at Newmarket (ON), Ipperwash (ON), and Debert (NS). He went overseas in February 1945 and saw enemy action in Holland and Germany. While serving Pte. Williams became ill with pneumonia and was invalided home on 14 July 1945. As of December 1945, Thorald Williams was still serving with the army.
