- Sqd. Ldr. Carl Albert Wilson enlisted in the RCAF on 07 June 1940. He received his training at Manning Pool, Eglinton, Malton. He received his Wings at Saskatoon. After completing an Instructor’s course at Trenton he was commissioned and posted to Uplands. He was promoted to Flying Officer. Served at Camp Borden; later posted overseas, arriving in England on 06 November 1942. Mentioned in despatches while participating in bombing of Ruhr. Awarded DFC for great gallantry with serving with No. 100 Squadron RAF.
