Description
Lieut. Harold B. Winter of Lindsay enlisted with the Ordnance Corps of the Canadian Army in December 1941 at Vancouver BC. He was posted to Esquimalt (BC) and later to Vancouver (BC) and Edmonton (AB). Early in 1943 Lieut. Winter transferred to the Artillery Corps in which branch he took Officers’ Training Course at Gordon Head, BC, being made a 1st Lieutenant at Brandon, Man. in June 1943. He spent three months at Halifax (NS) before going to England where he was serving as of November 1944.
