AN ADVENTURE--One day early last week Mr. John Jegane was in the woods, chopping cordwood for Mr. M---fold. He was alone, and some distance from any habitation. Pausing to take breath he leaned upon his axe, and surveyed the ----- when ------ing he heard some --- ------- he looked behind, and was considerably surprised to find a large bear within a few yards of him. The bear was sitting peacefully on his ----- ----, and appeared to take a deep interest in John's progress. The ---ble couple surveyed each other for some minutes, when the bear slowly shook his head and then took his departure. John, since the first view, --- a subdued manner, and they say he --------- views of offering himself ---- ----- ---------.
