Remember when:
*Fenelon Falls had just purchased a new fire truck only to have it enveloped in flames at the famous Kinmount fire and, as a result, was a total loss.
*Allan Bros. Monumental Works was located north of the firehall on Cambridge Street.
*The Allan Bros. were noted for turning out some of the finest tombstones in the country.
*We were told that there is little use in turning to page two if you didn't understand page one!
*One of the best places to serve Chinese food was the Star Restaurant located on the south side of Kent St.
*A very popular young Lindsay man, by the name of Ken McArthur, opened his pharmacy business in Fenelon Falls.
*Cannon Battersby, an Anglican clergyman, was proud to see his son, Scholfield, follow in his footsteps by also being ordained a minister. Schofield had been principal at the Lindsay Central School.
