Photograph is looking west from the bridge during the March flood in Little Britain 1917. A digital copy of this photo was provided by Marylou Hall as part of a presentation on her family.
Notes
Continuing with Dr. George C.R. Hall’s words “At this time there was a blacksmith’s shop beside the bridge owned by Mr. Yeo. Every Spring his floor was flooded while the thaw was on. Fortunately everything of value was too heavy to float and was conveniently in place when the rush of water was over.”
