- Photograph was taken in 1908 at the Canadian National Exhibition and shows Dr. George C.R. Hall (the boy on the right.) The other people in the photo were not identified. A digital copy of this photo was provided by Marylou Hall as part of a presentation on her family.

- The following comment accompanies the photo in the presentation:
“We used to swim in a creek near Whiteside’s farm where there had been a flour mill. An old elm tree had exposed roots to hang on with, while kicking with the feet until finally for a few feet we would swim unaided. We used to build a little dam with rocks to help keep the water level up. Bathing suits were unknown, and I have heard since many young girls used to hide and watch from the cedar trees.” George C.R. Hall.
