- Around 1908, George C.R. Hall, his parents, aunts, and uncles took a boat trip to Quebec City.
“When we arrived at Kingston, on our way to Quebec, our party nearly decided to return home. An article in the morning [edition of] ‘Mail and Empire’ mentioned much of Little Britain had been burned. The fire started over the blacksmith’s shop, where wagons and sleighs were built, and it wiped out many homes and stores.” George C.R. Hall's words.
