- In the early 1930s Dr. George C.R. Hall joined the Independent Order of Odd Fellows (I.O.O.F.)
At that time the I.O.O.F had 51,000 members in Ontario, founded on the principles of friendship, truth and love.
In 1938, George C.R. Hall became the youngest Grand Master of I.O.O.F.
