- With the lack of proper athletic facilities in Little Britain, Dr. George C.R. Hall consulted the Provincial Treasurer, Leslie Frost, with respect to the building of an arena. By 1949 an arena was built. Located at the site of existing Little Britain Arena. Leslie Frost was present at the official opening to watch the Oshawa Generals play the ORHA League all stars, with Syl Apps, former Maple Leaf Captain as the referee.
