SUDDEN DEATH --Much regret as well as surprise was felt in this village last Saturday when news of the death of Mrs. John L. Read of Bobcaygcon was received. As far as we can learn she was in her usual state of health when she retired on Friday night, but about. 2 o’clock next morning Mr. Read heard her make a strange noise and asked her whether anything was wrong. Receiving no answer he got up'and lit. a lamp, and, upon looking at Mrs. Read, was horrified to see that she was dead. The deceased lady, who was in her 53rd year, was the youngest daughter of the late Eliakim Weller and sister of Mrs. ‘C. W. Moore of this village. Her amiable and friendly disposition made her very much liked by all who knew her, and her funeral on Monday was very nutncrcusly attended. Apoplcxy is believed to have been the cause of Bar death. KW Proï¬ts for Farmers in Creameries. At. a meeting held in Oxford county in connection with the travelling dairy, u reverend gentleman said he had made twenty-one dollars in four winter months by delivering the milk of one cow to a butter factory. The experimental dairy which the Minister of Agriculture for Ontario is sending all over the Province will do a great deal of good in showing individual farmch how to improve the quality of their home made dairy pro- duce. But, after ail, the true solution of the butter Question will be found in the more general establishment ofcream- cries. ity, and the experience of the Oxford clergyman shows that there is profit for the farmer in making use of the facili- ties they alford. If creameries wore as numerous in Ontario as cheese factories are now, there can be little doubt that our experts of butter, instead of being valued at a paltry $002,000, would equal the value of our exports of cheese â€"â€"-nine and a half millionsâ€"Ybronto News. s.-.
